Music fans have spoken: Bon Jovi is wanted dead or alive in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The New Jersey-based hair band was the top choice for induction into the Rock Hall next year, notching more than 1.1 million votes.
The Moody Blues finished second on the list of 19 nominees with 947,000 votes, followed by Dire Straits, The Cars and Judas Priest. A total of 6.8 million votes were cast by fans during the two-month poll on the Hall's website.
All five bands will now receive an extra vote in the final tabulation, which surveys more than 800 artists, industry executives and music historians.
The other nominees include Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, the J. Geils Band, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Nina Simone and the Zombies.
The official Class of 2018 will be announced December 13. The winners will be inducted April 14 at a ceremony in Cleveland, where the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opened in 1995.
