If you’re serious about food and looking to find a memorable few days out of town exploring it, have we got the place for you! The Culinary Institute of America is now offering two- to five-day “boot camps” in three different locations: St. Helena, CA; San Antonio, TX; and Hyde Park, NY. You’ll be surrounded by and working alongside like-minded food folk, and receive hands-on training from expert chefs and wine faculty. The most intensive 5-day “Basic Training” camp in Hyde Park will set you back $2,195; the 2-day “Hors d’Oeuvre Boot Camp” costs $895. The CIA’s St. Helena campus in the Napa Valley offers the greatest number of choices, including the 3-day “Wine Lovers Boot Camp” ($1,325); the 2-day “Grilling and BBQ” camp ($895); and the 5-day “Pastry Boot Camp” ($2,195).
