So many people blog about food. Some do it well, while others ... not so much. Here are three food blogs well worth checking out:
1. Broad Appetite An auditor for the Commonwealth of Virginia with a passion for food, Marcella Lee is a woman possessed — both by her hometown of Richmond, Va., and sharing recipes perfect for the home cook. Broad Appetite, which she launched last summer, is named after a Richmond food festival and is packed with insider tips and great recipes. Try Now: Ramen Gnocchi with Mushrooms and Peas
2. My Blue & White Kitchen Sini, a graduate student living in Finland who began blogging last August, offers up beautifully shot recipes with a Nordic twist. Try Now: Salmon Spring Salad with Wasabi Dressing (pictured above).
3. Manger Mimi Thorisson launched her blog two years ago, but it hasn't really made much of a splash in the States. Thorisson lives an idyllic life in the French countryside with her husband, children and 14 dogs. (Yes, 14. They breed Jack Russell terriers.) Her clean, simply designed site is loaded with easy seasonal recipes and tantalizing shots of food, as well as her gorgeous home (taken by Thorisson's art director husband).
