'Bright Lights' to premiere Saturday on HBO

A fun-loving HBO documentary about the mother-daughter banter between Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher is now set to serve as a sweet eulogy and poignant swan song.

"Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds," originally scheduled to air on Mother's Day, will now premiere on Saturday at 8 p.m., one day after the two stars are buried side-by-side at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

Filmed throughout 2014 and 2015, the documentary follows the two next-door neighbors as they go about everyday home life and hit the road for work, with Fisher getting ready to reinhabit Princess Leia in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and Reynolds gearing up to receive the Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award.

Reynolds, 84, died of a stroke December 28, one day after Fisher succumbed to the heart attack she had suffered four days earlier on a flight from London to Los Angeles. She was 60.
