Prince's music will be performed nationwide later this year by a live band, vocalists and full orchestra, with help from the Roots' Questlove and the blessing of Prince's estate.
"4U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince" will feature the Virginia-based Wolf Trap Orchestra, along with "world-class musicians and vocalists who will perform collectively with the orchestra," according to a statement on the tour's website.
The set list of greatest hits and "lesser known gems" will be curated by Questlove, the drummer and creative leader of the Philadelphia-based hip hop group that now serves as the house band for "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
"This show is not 'impersonating' Prince, but is instead 'celebrating' Prince and his boundless creative output," says the 4U website.
There are 33 dates on the tour schedule right now, from September 6 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, until October 21 in Kansas City. More dates are expected to be added in November and 2019.
