Like a one-man Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes crew, Bill Murray has a way of popping in on strangers to make everyone feel like a winner.
A new documentary, "The Bill Murray Stories: Life Lessons Learned From a Mythical Man," chronicles what director Tommy Avallone calls "random interactions with Bill and regular everyday people."
The film, opening October 26, captures the fun as Murray shows up uninvited at events ranging from weddings and house parties to karaoke bars and kickball games.
The "Ghostbusters" star and affable intruder is always welcomed with open arm, fist bumps and unabashed awe.
"He's like a candle when you light it in a room," says one beneficiary of a Murray visit. "All of a sudden, the room smells great."
