New box set to contain Eagles' entire 'Legacy'

The Eagles

Here's a chance to get all of your Eagles in one huge nest.

The "Hotel California" proprietors are bundling their entire musical catalog in "Legacy," a career-spanning collection of all seven studio albums, from their self-titled 1972 debut to 2007's "Long Road Out of Eden," along with three live albums, a compilation of singles and B-sides and two concert videos: 1994's "Hell Freezes Over" on DVD and 2005's "Farewell 1 Tour: Live from Melbourne" on Blu-Ray.

The vinyl version of "Legacy" features 15 LPs, but the concert films are not included.

Both sets come with a 54-page hardbound book of photos, artwork and memorabilia.

"Legacy" will be released November 2, but is available now for pre-order. The 12-CD collection is priced at $179.98; the vinyl package costs $349.98.

The all-inclusive retrospective will debut at the tail end of the Eagles' brief fall tour, which kicks off Saturday in Hartford. Drummer Don Henley, guitarist Joe Walsh and bassist Timothy B. Schmitt have teamed up with country star Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, the son of the band's co-founder, Glenn Frey, who died in 2016.
