Worms in the Big Apple

With all the great things to eat in New York City, you’d think that people would just be happy with what they’ve got. But nooooooo! The Daily News now reports that eating protein-rich crickets and other insects might be the next big food trend to hit town. Turns out that a group of bug-based food producers arrived in the Big Apple over the summer to try and get people to taste their wares, including a cricket brittle, cricket chocolate, energy bars made with cricket flour, even cricket kabobs and tostados.
