In the Air Tonight

Apple debuted its fifth-generation iPad today, dubbed iPad Air, a one-pound version of their popular tablet which features a 20% thinner design and an updated 64-bit A7 processor — making it 72 times faster than the original model. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with one of those cool fingerprint scanners. The iPad Air starts at around $500. The company also announced a new iPad Mini with Retina display (approx. $500) and a new upgrade to its operating system called Mavericks, which is free to OS X Snow Leopard users. — Adam Albright-Hanna
