Fuji's New Camera Is Retro Cool

Big, heavy DSLRs cameras from Canon and Nikon have long dominated the pro and enthusiast photography market. But Fuji has become a serious contender by building smaller, excellent quality cameras with looks that recall the vintage rangefinders of yore. Fuji's X series stylings eschew touch screens and minimalist facades, favoring explicitly labeled click wheels and dials that will be familiar to anyone who's ever shot film. Their latest, the X-M1, brings the same much lauded sensor found in its pricier siblings, plus HD video chops, and full auto or manual shooting, all in a smaller, lighter, gorgeous package. The X-M1 hits the shelves this month. – Doug Gottlieb
